Ryōken Instinct was born on the trail, inspired by two pups, Miru and Miji, and the wild-hearted love they brought into their humans’ lives. The brand was founded by Martha, a Stanford-trained PhD in cellular and molecular physiology and lifelong adventurer, who became a self-proclaimed “crazy dog mom” the moment she brought her first pup home. While she and her partner, Michael, had endless snack options for long hikes, they noticed a frustrating gap in the pet aisle: nothing designed to meet the real metabolic needs of active dogs. So Martha created something better.
